It’s August and that means Cat Nights if you’re Irish – or follow Irish lore at all. Now being August and pretty damn close to mid-August, Cat Nights are associated with summer rather than our Southern Hemisphere winter.

To L2 or not to L2, that is the question
Excitement is growing around a possible “My fellow South Africans …” because there is hope that it will be accompanied by a “we are moving to Level 2 of Lockdown”. That change would theoretically take place when the new month rolls around, so 1 September.
Switching homes for my rambling and rants

When lockdown began in South Africa, everyone went looking for things to do, either to fill the time while not being allowed to work or to feel productive. I joined in a bit of gardening, while others turned to art, dance, music or making videos. I found my groove when I turned to writing.
